Wine is constant proof that God loves us and likes to see us happy.Ben Franklin
Another important factor to consider in event planning is the drinks (if you’re of age of course). Alcohol may not appropriate for every party you may plan, but if it is there are other factors that need to be considered. What drink will you serve? How many? How much are you willing to spend on alcohol?
One option is to ask certain guests to bring alcohol. This is especially effective if you are throwing a dinner party. Provide the main course and ask the guests to provide desserts and alcohol. However, if you decide to provide the alcohol yourself, making a cocktail is a good option.
Making cocktails does not have to be complicated, or expensive. Today I am going to share with you how to make a mojito, which is an easy drink to make and relatively inexpensive as well.
How to Make a Mojito
1 cup sugar
½ cup water
Melt the sugar and then add the mint. Simmer for 20 min or longer depending on how strong you want the mint.
Juice of 1 lime
1 shot of rum
1 shot of mint simple syrup
Fill glass with ice. Put in lime juice, rum, and simple syrup. We also like to put the squeezed limes in the glass. Put mint sprigs in the glass and top with club soda!
*This recipe can also be made without the alcohol for a nice mocktail for those who are underage or don’t drink.*
